CS post #1
T$ Update:
In Texas now, watching the Olympics in our new apartment. I went to an orientation yesterday for new graduate students at Texas A&M. I definitely could have skipped it but I was informed I would be charged $50 whether I went or not. I did get a free t-shirt but mostly it was a pep talk for new students who might be scared or something, something I did not need. I would have rather been watching the Olympics or continue getting pumped for the upcoming football fantasy season, Aggie football season, or continue to debarbarize our abode with Meagan.
TX Update:
After we arrived in College Station Meagan’s family arrived for vacation. We spent a few days in CS then went to Galveston, TX where we went to the beach, rented bicycles, and watched two short videos. One on the Great Storm of 1900 and the other about Jean Lafitte, a pirate who occupied Galvez Island from 1817-1821.
Our new apartment (video to come) is located not far from the university. It takes me less than ten minutes to ride from our front door to the psychology building. It has a pool, tennis court, workout area and a few other amenities. The apartment will suit us but I think we’re both excited to move to a house, one we own or otherwise.
Other News:
My brother and sister-in-law are having another child later this year. They found out the gender this time. It is a girl, they named her Josephine Claire. They also asked Meagan and I to be godparents which we accepted.
